Total Commander is a legendary file manager; I'm sure it needs no introduction. It features a dual-pane interface, archive management, an FTP client, and an endless number of plugins, all while weighing next to nothing and using almost no resources.

You can download the latest version of Total Commander in Russian for free from us. The links are divided by author and build for easy navigation, and the downloads are direct. A password is required when unzipping the archive; it's listed on the right under the links. The archive contains a key, key generator, or simply a crack.

An FTP client is included in the database and works perfectly. After connecting to the server, you can work with files like regular folders. Copying, deleting, and other standard features are supported. Downloads are multi-threaded, you can set a proxy, and connect securely via SSL/TLS. You can set connection and disconnection timeouts, and there's a password manager for saved servers.

The file management capabilities are simply incredible. Batch renaming, folder synchronization, merging and splitting large files, folder size calculation, and advanced search with various filters are available. Sorting by multiple criteria via Ctrl + click on columns, autocomplete command line and copy dialogs—all designed to reduce typing.

The program works with all popular archive formats: ZIP, ARJ, LZH, RAR, UC2, and others. ZIP archives can be created larger than 2 GB. A full context menu is available on 64-bit Windows.

Plugins are a special feature, as they expand functionality as much as you need. You can add image viewing directly in the manager, create your own thumbnails and columns, and enable multimedia. The settings are flexible, the color scheme is completely customizable, filters are available for any task, and hotkeys can be customized to suit your needs.

The program is suitable for both beginners and experienced users. The basics are immediately clear, and all the settings, of which there are many, will become more appreciated over time.

Among similar apps, Far Manager stands out. It's also dual-panel but features a console interface in the style of Norton Commander. It's more convenient for those who prefer old-school keyboard controls, but its visuals are certainly an acquired taste. Another option is Double Commander , a free, open-source clone of Total Commander. The interface is very similar, and many plugins are compatible.
